Does taking Progesterone cream for PMS work?

I"m having severe PMS and I could live with all the symptoms but the dizziness I can barely walk to the bathroom I'm so dizzy i feel like i'm going to fall over. I read that alot of women prior to menstruation and menopause get the same feeling and they take progesterone cream and it helps them. I have the cream because my mom is premenopausal but i've read that it says to take the cream the week before menstruation to prevent PMS symptoms. If I take it now (im do to start tonight or tomorrow) will it stop the PMS symptoms or is it too late? I have a date this week and I dont want to be stumbling around and sick!
