Hiya All I am wondering If you can help me with this.?

Hiya I have a normal asda dvd player made by asda cost me 20 pound bran new I have just also baught paranormal activity 2 on dvd player It wont play on my dvd player has trouble starting up then just sticks then goes back onto a blank screen some over dvds play fine on the dvd player why wont parnormal activity 2 play ok with this dvd player?? Do I need a better dvd player??? Anyone know thanks Karl
