I have a grammar question about this sentence: "I met with people____related their experiences."?

In the blank spot, would it be "who" or "whom"? I understand that "who" is referring to the subject and "whom" is when the person is an "object" of the "subject" but in this sentence I (the subject) am meeting with the people (object) who is relating their experiences (another object). I am thoroughly confused as to how to approach this sentence in regards to "who" versus "whom" in grammatical terms... Any and all sources would be really helpful - thank you!
