Transit through Bangkok or Singapore with Indian pport?

I am Indian going to Australia for 2 month and I can opt for either stop over at Singapore or Bangkok which is the better option and do I need Transit to stay in airport for less than 24 hours? or for going out of airport if so, can I get transit at the airport itself?
