Look I understand completely, I was also very quiet in school and as a result I too had very few friends. I thin that perhaps you should have a mature sit down with your teacher perhaps after school one day when all of your clmates have left for the day and explain your situation. BTW everything will be just fine I promise. Go and have fun... Also, Do not worry about the roller coasters but do not be like right next to your mom the whole time. Try to find a happy medium. The other student will only dislike you more if they see you around your mom and only your mom. Be careful. The roller coasters are scary I dont like them either, just relax and do what you think you can handle.
