Is it Bad To Drink Alone?

I'm 21, and over the past couple of months since I've turned 21, I've only had alcohol a few times. I don't have many friends, and the ones do have i don't see often, so i don't go out much. Lately I've been spending a lot of time alone, when I'm not at work, and have been having a downer last year or so. It's superbowl sunday, and I'm here at home, and don't have anyone to go. I've been stressed out, and down a lot lately. Is it alright to buy beer just for the superbowl alone, and drink? I just need to relax a little, since i haven't been able to in a while...or is this a bad idea?
